When the New Yorker Hotel first swung open its doors on Jan. 2, 1930, it was the largest hotel in Manhattan, standing 43 stories high and comprised of 2,500 rooms and one million square feet. Situated in Manhattan at 34th Street and Eighth Avenue, the hotel featured two grand ballrooms, 10 private dining “salons,” five restaurants, and one of the largest barber shops in the world with 42 chairs and 20 manicurists.

| the new yorker is located in a prime position, from check in to check out the staff were all very friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman on the transportation desk who helped with printing our boarding passes to organising our airport transport with a special surprise for us. So if you want a great hotel within a great position and good value and extremely helpful staff then this is the place to book. |
